The simple Perl script used to create MC_26-positions is published here. (The four dimensional discussion and downloads are in the directory hyperambisonics.) |
positions26.pl (v. 0.5.2) is a small (9.1 KB) Perl program that creates a first-, second- or third-order FuMa B-format ambisonic file (such as the example -linked to above- on the Ambisonia site). It requires Perl (obviously!), SoX and Ambisuite. (A fuller discussion of requirements is elsewhere on this site.)
You also do need the manual
(124 KB) to make sense of it(!).
The manual is not bundled (tarred, zipped, …) with the software
download.
The soundclips are still to be loaded.
A little third order experimental file gives the twenty-six positions in a third-order (FuMa) OGG-Vorbis file.
The compression seems to make the recording rather tinny. But as the original recordings are not wonderful, publishing an uncompressed version will await a new 'voice' and new recordings.
The Perl script will now produce first, second and third-order files (try "-h" for details).
